Building Community, Building Citizenship, Part 2

Citizenship 1Deirdre Routt and Anna Wilcoxon created a citizenship resources list during their research on Pilot Project 2. Their list includes citizenship classes, ESL (English as Second Language) classes, legal assistance/workshops, and citizenship tutoring in the Omaha area. Each entry includes –

  • Agency with contact information
  • Class Location
  • Website
  • Resources
  • Class Hours
  • Level of Offering (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, 1-on-1 Tutoring, etc.)
  • Clientele
  • Cost

This list is currently being used by OPL’s New American Task Force. It is also available to the public at Click Citizenship Resources in Omaha under the Omaha Citizenship Resources text box on the right hand side of the page. You can also download the PDF file here

We think a similar list could be adapted to any community.
