I'm HereBeing a part of the FIT Team couldn’t have come at a better time for me.  Midway through our grant, my office moved into the Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center (CEC) on the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) campus.  Omaha Public Library (OPL) is one of 30 community or UNO organizations housed in the CEC.  The CEC’s purpose is to inspire and support collaborative efforts that benefit the community as a whole.  It is also “the only stand-alone, comprehensive, engagement-specific university facility in the country” according to UNO’s website. What Counts Gets Measured: 2014 Results

Measure 2The Omaha Public Library had 4,953 program, outreach, and community engagement events with a total attendance of 167, 248 in 2014. The total average attendance for all events was 34. If you break down total average attendance by audience, the results are 18 for adults, 28 for young adults and 43 for children. If you further break down the total average attendance by event type and audience, the numbers are still smaller. More
